Prior to joining Shift Health in 2022 as a Consultant, Dr. Tatianna Wai Ying Wong worked as a Business Development Analyst at The Hospital for Sick Children, where she managed a portfolio of 30 technologies, advising researchers in intellectual property development and protection to maximize commercial value. She also supported the creation of marketing materials for outreach to developmental partners and prospective licensees.
Tatianna completed her PhD in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto, where her research focused on the use of CRISPR-mediated gene editing to develop therapeutics for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. She was the recipient of multiple awards, including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and SickKids Restracomp. Prior to her PhD, she completed her Master of Science in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University, where she researched the invasion machinery of malaria parasites.
Tatianna has authored 6 publications in her graduate career, and she has presented work at multiple international conferences.
