Shift Health recently hosted a workshop to co-create Canada’s Personalized Healthcare Readiness Index. The event convened a diverse group of >100 health researchers, federal and provincial policymakers, healthcare practitioners and executives, AI and digital technology innovators, life sciences industry leaders, and patients and their advocates. Participants engaged as a community in practical, solutions-oriented dialogue that took stock of where we stand today and aligned on the attributes we expect to see in an effective, equitable and sustainable personalized healthcare system in the future.

Shift Health is grateful to everyone who attended and participated in the workshop, and would especially like to thank:

  • Bogi Eliasen from the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies, for the wonderful keynote address and facilitation;
  • Dr. Alan Bernstein (CIFAR) for the inspiring closing remarks;
  • Panelists Kelly Butterworth (Roche), Dr. Elissa Strome (Pan-Canadian AI Strategy, CIFAR), Alies Maybee (Patient Advisors Network), Carole Piovesan (INQ Data Law), Angela Power (Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information), Aaron Leibtag (Pentavere), Dr. Sacha Bhatia (Women’s College Hospital) and Dr. Michael Schull (Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences) for the thought-provoking discussions; and
  • Platinum sponsors, Roche and Amgen, and Silver sponsors, StrategyCorp and Bitnobi, for the support.

Shift Health will be sharing proceedings from the workshop in the near future and is looking forward to leading continued dialogue on the future of personalized healthcare in Canada to maintain momentum and drive ideas into action.
