Prior to joining Shift Health, Dr. Doorsa Tarazi earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, where her research explored the impact of pain management—specifically morphine use—on glioblastoma metabolism and epigenetics. Her work has been presented at over five international conferences and has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications. During her graduate studies, she held leadership roles as Chair of the SickKids Research Institute Networking Committee, Founder of the COVID Coping Initiative, and President of the Biochemistry Graduate Student Union.
Beyond her academic research, she has engaged in pro bono consulting across the medical device, fintech, and healthcare sectors while remaining actively involved in consulting mentorship through the Graduate Management Consulting Association at the University of Toronto.
