Since joining the Shift Health team as a Consultant in 2024, Idil has supported various engagements for both industry and non-profits, including external engagement and education strategies, healthcare policy strategy, and landscape assessments for partnership opportunities. Idil has served clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Gilead, Diabetes Canada, and Canadian Cancer Society. Prior to Shift Health, Idil had experience collaborating with diverse teams on projects focused on organizational growth and sustainability within the non-profit space.
Idil holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto, where she focused her research on identifying mutational networks that promote breast cancer initiation and progression. During her graduate studies, Idil received multiple awards, including the SickKids Restracomp Research Scholarship. She also served as the co-chair of the Career Development Committee at SickKids, overseeing the development and implementation of an annual mentorship program. Idil has presented her research at national and international platforms, including the Gordon Research Conference in Italy, and she is the author of 3 peer-reviewed publications.
