CASE STUDY
Evaluating SCPOR’s Impact on Patient-Oriented Research
The Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR) needed a third-party evaluation to understand its impact to date and optimize its strategy.
Leveraging evaluation criteria from the SPOR SUPPORT Unit logic model and best practices across public evaluation frameworks, Shift Health created a tailored performance evaluation framework and tool to guide the assessment. Shift Health then engaged with a broad spectrum of stakeholders through interviews, working sessions and surveys to gather quantitative and qualitative inputs on SCPOR’s activities and inform a detailed assessment of the organization’s impact on patient-oriented research across Saskatchewan.
The evaluation provided SCPOR with an understanding of progress to date against its core values and uncovered considerations to guide future decision-making and position the unit for greater impact.
